Open Door / Food Pantry

The Open Door
Local Mission Project
United Methodist Church
501 2nd Street
Maxwell, Iowa

Open Door is a place offering clothing, toys, household items and miscellaneous items to anyone who may be able to use them at no cost.

We accept donated articles that are in good condition. In addition, clothing must be clean and washed before donating the items. Any items larger than what one person can carry in to the church will be placed on a calling list. This list will be available to persons who attend Open Door on the third Tuesday of the month.

If a receipt is requested for donated items, we ask the donor to itemize their contributions on paper and submit this listing with their items to the Open Door representative for them to sign.

Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings and every third Tuesday of the month from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. If this time is not convenient, please call Sheri at (515) 236-0142 and leave a message to schedule a time to drop off your donated items.

Open Door is open on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Everyone welcome!

“. . .knock and the door will be opened to you..” Matthew 7:7
